Zen Master Robert Moore

Zen Master Robert Moore Founding Teacher Golden Wind Zen Order Jibong, sŏnsa Seventy Ninth Ancestor Zen Master Robert Moore was born in Marshall, Texas on August 22nd, 1941.

Moore Sŏnsa-nim was given Inka - the seal of Zen Master Sŭngsan's approval and authorization to lead retreats and teach kongan practice - in 1985 and received the title of Dharma Master (Jido Pŏpsa-nim.) Since receiving Inka he has been actively teaching Zen at more than eight Zen Center's located on the entire West Coast.

He is a Certified Master in Taiji, Qigung and other internal Daoist techniques. In conjunction with Zen practice teaches at Golden Wind Zen Center in Long Beach, CA; Aikido Ai Zen Center in Whittier, CA; and Tiger Mountain Zen Center in Seattle, Washington.

On April 5th, 1997 Dharma Master Robert Moore became Zen Master Robert Moore - his Korean title being: Jibŏng Haeŭm Sŏnsa (Wisdom Peak Ocean Sound Zen Master) - when he received Transmission (Chŏnbŏp) of the Dharma from his teacher Zen Master Sŭngsan during the annual Buddha's Birthday celebration held at the Head Temple of the Kwan Um School of Zen in Cumberland, Rhode Island.

Jeff Tipp, JDPSN

Jeff Tipp, JDPSN was ordained as a monk in an order of Christian mystics in 1968, entered the Dharma in 1973, met Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1978, and founded the precursor to Blue Heron Zen Community in 1980. He recieved Inka from Zen Master Ji Bong in 2006 and is a practicing Psychotherapist.

Tim Colohan
Tim Colohan, JDPSN

Tim Colohan, JDPSN, is a senior student of Zen Master Robert Moore and has been practicing Zen and Qigong for more than 23 years.

Tim is on the board of directors setS the tone and flavor of practice at the Zen Center and is the person to go to with questions about practice forms, practice programs or your personal direction in regards to Buddhism.

Tim organizes and carries out all of the training programs at the Golden wind Zen Center and assures that students receive the proper education and training. He leads the Sunday Morning Practice and is available for Consulting Interviews during the Sunday Morning Practice.

Anita Feng
Anita Feng, JDPSN

Anita Feng, JDPSN has practiced Zen in the lineage of Zen Master Seung Sahn since 1976. In the late '70s she lived and studied intensively with Zen Master Seung Sahn at the Providence Zen Center. Since the '90s she has studied under the guidance of Zen Master Ji Bong, receiving Inka in 2008. Anita works as a ceramic artist making raku Buddhas. Eric Nord

Eric Nord, JDPSN

Eric Nord, JDPSN has practiced Zen in the lineage of Zen Master Seung Sahn under the guidance of Zen Master Ji Bong since 1996. He has served as Head Dharma Teacher for Blue Heron Zen Community and its predecessor organization since 2002. He received Inka from Zen Master Ji Bong in 2008. Eric lives with his wife and two daughters in Seattle.
